You are open to help in any way that is needed for the event day. We will get started early with tournaments at 9am. Then with the car show starting up at 10am. We will mainly need our volunteers from noon on until the buddy glow run time that evening. Help with set up is important and also helping with the various games/events going on throughout the day. We have a lot of fun things going on and our volunteers will be what makes it all work.
There will be a few opportunities throughout the day for set up help. One being early set up of tables/chairs for our food vending area, 9-10am. Helping to set up vendors and games between 10am to noon. Setting up for the glow run at between 5 to 7pm. With this being first year event there is sure to be other needs going on but these are the main ones to consider time wise.
We could use a dedicated parking team throughout the day to help ensure safety of all participants. A Church or club group would be great for this task.
Help in the running, operation and monitoring of all the various games going on throughout the day. Some jobs could include but not limited to assisting with the tournaments going on such as baseball, softball, tennis, cornhole, disc golf and lip sync. Games could include such things as putt putt golf, gellyball shooting and other fun festival type games. Activities could include car bash, inflatable bouncy houses, dunk tank to name a few. Don't forget the main event being the Buddies Not Bullies Glow Run starting up at dark around 6:30PM
Check in for the glow run will consist of help to hand out event bags and distribute glow items to get everyone set up and ready for the buddy run. Need these volunteers to be there around 5PM
As with any event, it's not over until everything is put back up and the area is restored to how it was before we started. This might not be the fanciest volunteer job out there but if you are one of the lucky ones willing to stick around until the end we will reward you with some special treats only for this very important team.
