KENOSHA Lakefront Run and Charity Walk Job Details

Registration Table - Day Of, Pre Registration

Check In and hand out the previously prepared packet that belongs to preregistered participants..Mark name on sheet to show that packet has been picked up.Direct problems to the - Registration Captain.

Registration Table - Day Of Registrants

Collect Money from race day registrants, Make changes as needed. Make sure that all registration forms are filled out completely and correctly. Distribute Race packet

Course Marshals

Worksite – Stationed along 5k course at corners.Job Duties- Direct runners and walkers keeping them on course using voice and hand signals.Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for a 2 hours. Availability to stay for entire race.

Water Stop

Job Duties – Fill water cups, hand water to runners, pick up trash. Skills – Able to walk and stand for a 2 hour shift. Someone may have to lift 40 lb. water jugs. Depends on how you receive water, Jugs,bottles, hose ...Check in location – Waterstop location. Follow all Covid regulations

Traffic Control

Assist as needed at specific intersections/ roadways to keep the race safe and free of motorized vehicles This may include using flags and whistles. Law enforcement officers will be present as needed/ required at busy locations.

Start & Finsh Line Workers

Start and Finish line workers - Depends on race size and physical layout whether this will be manned. Job Duties – Move runners/walkers to the start line and assist participants at the end of the race to move off the course. Help keep strollers and dogs at the rear of the pack. Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for about a 3 hour shift.

Timming Team

Job Duties – May Include Calling out times to runners as they reach mile marks.Recording Times, may involve "running" times between locations Skills – Loud clear voice, No lifting. Able to walk and stand for a 2-3 hour shift.

Refreshment Table - End of Race

Set up and restock refreshments. Cut up fruit, mix Gatorade. Follow Covid guidelines. Clean up area after race Skills - Some lifting required, 5 gallon water jugs, boxes of fruit, garbage bags. Able to walk and stand for a 2.5 hour a.m. shift

Radio Communication Team

Assist with communication along the race course. This may include calling in emergencies, issues with the course, traffic control etc.

First Aid/Medical Assistance

Assist participants with any medical needs including basic first aid (cuts, heat or cold exposure, sprains etc..) calling 911 as needed. Keeping injured individuals calm

Clean Up Crew

Assist in course clean up after the race. Includes picking up signs, cones and course markers, also any event related trash (water cubs, gel packs etc...)

Parking Attendants

Assist in directing participants and volunteers to the appropriate parking areas.
