Start Line Cheer Team – Bringing Hope to the Start Line!

Kick off the event with encouragement and enthusiasm! As runners begin their journey, you’ll help set the tone of hope and unity. Bring your pom-poms, flags, and spirit — your cheers remind every participant that we’re moving together to strengthen families and stand against child abuse.

Kids’ Balloon Team

Be part of the joy that fills the air — literally! Help blow up helium balloons and share them with kids along the race route. Your efforts help create a happy, hope-filled atmosphere for families celebrating strength and community.

Mascot & Handler Team

Help make the day magical for kids and families! As our event mascot, you’ll bring joy and hope through cheerful waves, photo ops, and friendly fun. Each mascot will have a team partner to guide and assist, ensuring safe and meaningful interactions. One-hour rotations keep everyone energized and smiling!

Event Photography & Videography Volunteers

Be the storyteller! Capture the energy, smiles, and meaningful moments of the 5K and Family Fun Run. Help share the day’s highlights on our social media — your lens spreads the message of hope! Volunteers will also assist with uploading content to our social media pages to help share the spirit of the day.

Youth Ambassador - Spotlight Project – Meet Our Community Heroes!

Calling all youth leaders and changemakers! In the spirit of Hope on the Move, we’re inviting you to step up and connect with local nonprofits that make a difference in our community. During November and December, you’ll visit one of our partnering organizations, record a short 60-second video, and write a brief caption introducing them. We’ll feature your videos and stories on our Hope on the Move social media to help others get to know these amazing groups before race day. We’ll provide prompts and guidance — you bring your curiosity, kindness, and confidence as you help strengthen community connections!

SWAG Bag & T-Shirt Party! January 2026

Join other youth volunteers for a day of service and celebration! In January, we’ll be filling SWAG bags and helping create T-shirts for all participants in the Hope on the Move 5K and Family Fun Run. Come with a friend and enjoy food, music, and good company while giving back to the community. Leave your email to get event updates and details — we can’t wait to see you there!

Race Day Clean-Up / Take Down

Help us leave the school looking spotless! Cleanup includes collecting trash, packing up tables, loading supplies, and removing chalk (equipment provided). Please check in at the Volunteer Tent by 10:00AM—many hands make light work!
