Main Parking Team Supervisor Leads a parking team of two or three volunteers. They ensure that their team is parking vehicles in accordance with the published parking plan. They will work under the supervision of a Parking Chair Committee team member and direct the actions of parking lot volunteers who can be as young as 15. Must have good communication skills, team oriented, energetic, and friendly. The T-Shirt/Merchandise Volunteer will be in the T-Shirt sales Canopy selling to the public. This volunteer must be able to use a Point Of Sale Machine and be customer friendly. he minimum age for this position is 17. -Technologically savvy -Customer Friendly -Minimum 17 Years of age -Works for the T-Shirt Chair All Volunteers will receive a signed Letter of Appreciation and documentation for school/military volunteer time sheets.
This volunteer can be assigned to various positions, including access gates, VIP, or grandstands. They can also be asked to conduct parking lot patrol looking for suspicious activity. The volunteer in this position will not be asked to conduct any physical intervention during normal duties. Gate positions will screen credentials for access. Inside the rodeo gates, the volunteer will be expected to keep handicap lanes (Ramps) and seating clear of people. They can be expected to ask patrons to move closer together to help with seating. This volunteer must be mentally strong, able to utilize a radio and know when to ask for Paid Security or Law Enforcement help. This volunteer must have self-control in stressful situations and be able to interact with patrons tactfully while ensuring adherence to rodeo policies concerning gates, grandstands, and parking areas. During the event, there will be both Law Enforcement and Paid Security Personnel available for intervention. As a note, our event has had very few security-related incidents. Only one patron has been asked to leave in the past six years.
