For the event year 2022, I am acting as a volunteer with a mission to help support, guide and cheer for the athletes of the Mt. Shasta Tinman Triathlon and Duathlon. I do this knowing that I will be in a park setting and although the event organizers have put forth efforts to keep me safe as a volunteer, and will train me to do my volunteering safely, there are still possibilities of injury.
Being permitted to participate in the Mt. Shasta Tinman Triathlon as a volunteer, I, hereby release and forever discharges the California Sporting Company, LLC. all their directors, members, owners, and volunteers, Mt. Shasta Tinman, Rotary Club of Dunsmuir, Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort, Race Directors, the City of Mt. Shasta, the City of Dunsmuir, the County of Siskiyou, the race sponsors, and all employees and agents from any liability for accident, injury or damage to persons or property, however, caused arising out of or in connection with my participating in the Mt. Shasta Tinman Triathlon. This release and indemnity shall apply even if injury or damage may have been contributed to or caused by the negligence of the above-named groups or their agents. I agree to indemnify and save harmless all of the above-named groups and their agents from all and any damages caused by me as a result of my participation in the Mt. Shasta Tinman Triathlon, knowing that I am willingly participating in a rigorous athletic event. I hereby allow the use of photography and videography and grant the rights of usage of photos and videos for Mount Shasta Tinman and California Sporting Company promotional purposes.
