Monitor racers as they cross the finish line, record completions, and respond quickly if anyone collapses or needs medical help. Each watcher will be responsible for 12-13 racers Volunteers will be given the BIB numbers they are responsible for day of
Stationed around the loop to watch for injured, struggling, or lost racers. Relay updates to HQ via signal.
Ensure each loop starts on time and all finishes are logged accurately.
Handle racer check-in, bib assignment, waivers, and general race-day questions.
Provide first aid, triage, and care for racers with injuries or medical issues. Requirements: CLS, Medic, Red Cross Certified
Drive and patrol the loop to check on racers, transport injured athletes back to HQ if needed.
Hand out water, electrolyte drinks, and refill bottles for racers.
Distribute gels, snacks, and salt tablets to racers as they pass through aid stations.
This position applies to all volunteer roles across the event, including Hydration Tent, Nutrition Tent, Check-In, Course Support, and other operational areas. General Volunteers are essential to ensuring the smooth execution of the TBA ULTRA by providing direct support to athletes, spectators, and staff throughout race day. Responsibilities: • Assist with setup and breakdown of event stations (hydration, nutrition, check-in, etc.) • Support athletes by distributing water, nutrition, and supplies as needed • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in assigned areas • Provide directions and general assistance to participants and spectators • Communicate any issues or safety concerns to event staff immediately Requirements: • Positive and energetic attitude • Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment • Willingness to assist in various areas as needed • Must be available for the full duration of assigned volunteer shift
