Adult Position: Greet VIP’s when they arrive at the top of the Crows Nest. Take their VIP ticket, exchange it for a wristband and check off each person you provided a wristband to on the correct sponsor line on the provided spreadsheet. Only 6 VIP’s will be allowed per booth. VIP’s will be going up and down to grab food and drinks from the VIP Lounge tent. Only VIP’s with appropriate wristbands will be allowed to enter the walkway to the booths and this will need to be policed by the volunteers.
Adult Position: 3 setters per barrel for each performance (1 adult per barrel, youth assisting need to be 8 years of age or older)
Volunteer duties: Reset knocked barrels, move barrels to the side for official drags and reset, rake between drags
Volunteers must be in western attire- jeans (no holes), long sleeved collared western shirt, cowboy boots and western hat.
You will come to the contestant area one event prior to the barrel event and meet at the bottom of the Crows Nest.
4 barrel setters per barrel (1 adult per barrel, the other can be youth age 8 or over)
Volunteers are responsible for resetting knocked barrels, raking between drags and moving barrels to the side for official drags
Adult/Youth 16+ Position: These volunteers will welcome and direct contestants to the correct parking locations for those parking on the north side of the arena.
Open and close west end gate as needed and keep general public out of harms way when animals are needing to be moved, and when barrel racing slack is taking place.
Verify VIP ticket or Handicap Pass to allow only those with those items to have access to parking in the designated VIP/Handicap area.
Only allow contestants access to field parking and to park on the road.
Go as a pair to check all aspects of the grounds to be sure no one is lingering around.
