Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Cheyenne Firecracker 5K, (Needs Inc.), the City of Cheyenne, all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I hereby acknowledge the above persons and entities I know that running a road race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained and prepared for this event. I certify that I am medically able to run this race safely, and I am in good health. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat, traffic and the conditions of the road, sidewalks, and Crow Creek Greenway trial, which could include walkers, bicyclist, and flood waters. All such risks being known, and I hereby acknowledge that the above have no obligation to provide medical care and have not undertaken the responsibility to do so. In the event I receive medical care as the result of a medical emergency, I hereby consent to such care. I give my permission and consent for Cheyenne Firecracker 5K and its sponsors to use any photographs, videotapes, audiotapes, or other recordings of me that are made during the course of this event. I hereby certify that I have fully read and understand the foregoing legal document and sign it knowingly, willingly, and voluntarily.
