Stronger Together Pink Out 5K Job Details

Course Volunteer

Help Keep participants safe on course during the event. Course Volunteers will be stationed along the race route to provide directions, encourage runners and walkers, monitor crossings and turns, and communicate any concerns to race staff. No experience is necessary. All that is required is a friendly attitude and a willingness to support our participants as they complete the course. Volunteers should be prepared to stand outdoors during the event. Volunteer duties are subject to reassignment as needed by Volunteer Director.

Welcome Booth/ Registration

Help create a positive first impression for our participants! Welcome Booth/Registration Volunteers will greet attendees, assist with check-in, distribute race packets and participant bags, answer basic event questions, and help to ensure the registration are runs smoothly. Volunteers should be friendly, organized, and comfortable interacting with participants and guests. No prior experience is needed. Volunteer duties are subject to reassignment as needed by Volunteer Director.

Event Decorations

Help bring the spirit of the Pink Out 5K & Expo to life. Decorations Volunteers will assist with setting up and arranging event signage, banners, tables, balloons, photo areas, and other decor before the event. Volunteers may help with decorating the venue and ensuring event areas are welcoming and visually appealing fro participants and guests. No experience is needed. Creativity and willingness to make the event special is all that is required. Volunteer duties are subject to reassignment as needed by Volunteer Director.

Event Photographer Volunteer

Capture the memories and moments that make the Pink Out 5k & Expo special! Photograoher Volunteers will take photos throughout the event, including participant check-in, the Kids Dash, 5K runners and walkers, survivor celebrations, vendors, volunteers, and special activities. Photos will be used to highlight the event, celebrate our community, and support future Pink Springs outreach and fundraising efforts. Volunteers should have access to a camera or smartphone capable of taking quality photos and be comfortable moving throughout the event to capture key moments. Volunteer duties are subject to reassignment as needed by Volunteer Director.

Water Station Volunteer

Help us keep our participants hydrated and encourage along the course! Water Station Volunteers will set up and distribute water to runners and walkers, cheer on participants as they pass, and help keep the station clean and organized throughout the event. Volunteers should be comfortable standing outdoors and working in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to support participants on race day with a positive attitude is all the experience needed.Volunteer duties are subject to reassignment as needed by Volunteer Director.

Event Set Up/Take Down Volunteers

Help make the Pink Out 5K & Expo a success from start to finish! Set-Up & Take Down Volunteers will assist with preparing the event site by setting up tables, tents, signage, decorations, registration areas, expo area, and other event materials before participants arrive. After the event, volunteers will help with cleaning up, packing supplies, and returning the venue to its original condition. Volunteers should be comfortable lifting, carrying, and moving the event materials and working outdoors. No experience is necessary! Many hands make light work. Volunteer duties are subject to reassignment as needed by Volunteer Director.
